About this policy
This privacy policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit the Hot Biron website. It concerns this website, not every aspect of an in-person visit to our food business. Swiss data protection law, including the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), applies. Where other mandatory data protection laws apply, their requirements remain unaffected.
Visiting our website
When you open a page, the services that host and deliver our website receive technical information needed to respond to your request. This can include your IP address, the requested page or file, the date and time, browser and device information, and the referring page where your browser supplies it.
This information is used to deliver the website, maintain its availability, investigate errors and protect against misuse. Our website is hosted through Lovable; hosting and content-delivery providers process technical information as part of providing these services. Technical diagnostics may also be processed to investigate website errors.
Contact form and your choices
The current contact form checks the name, email address, optional phone number and comment you enter within your browser. It is not connected to a message-delivery or storage service. Clicking Send currently does not transmit your message to Hot Biron, even if a confirmation appears. Please do not rely on this form to reach us; you can write to our postal address below.
The create-your-own currywurst builder keeps your selections in the page’s temporary memory. It does not place an order, take payment or create a customer account. This website has no newsletter subscription.
If you contact us by post or in person, we use the information you choose to provide to deal with your enquiry and, where necessary, fulfil legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Please avoid providing sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your enquiry.
Google Maps and Google Fonts
The Contact page contains an embedded Google map. Once the map loads, your browser connects directly to Google and sends technical information, including your IP address and browser information. Google may use cookies or similar technologies, and may associate activity with a Google account if you are signed in. The Get directions link also opens Google Maps, where Google’s own privacy terms apply.
Our typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore requests font files from Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address, the requested font resources and browser information. These external services help display the website and show our location.
You can restrict third-party cookies and external requests through your browser settings or appropriate browser tools. Doing so may affect the appearance of the website or prevent the map from loading.
Google’s privacy policy ↗Cookies and browser storage
Hot Biron does not add a newsletter tracker, advertising pixel or customer-account cookie to this website. Hosting services and embedded third-party content may nevertheless use cookies or similar technologies for their own service delivery, security or other purposes described in their policies. This policy does not mean that every third-party service is cookie-free.
You can view, block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Choices in the currywurst builder and information entered in the current form are not saved by Hot Biron to a customer database or browser storage.
Recipients and processing abroad
Personal information may be received by providers involved in hosting, delivering and securing the website, and by Google when its fonts or map load. We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect legal rights.
External providers operate internationally, so technical information may be processed outside Switzerland, including in the United States. Google describes its processing locations and transfer arrangements in its privacy policy. Depending on the recipient and service, other processing countries may be involved.
Swiss law places conditions on disclosing personal data abroad. Where we arrange a disclosure to a country without an adequate level of protection, applicable safeguards or a statutory exception are required. This statement is not a guarantee that every external provider’s processing takes place in Switzerland.
Retention and security
The current form does not deliver or store messages for Hot Biron. Temporary form values and builder selections are discarded when the page is closed or reloaded. Technical information held by hosting and external-service providers is subject to their own retention arrangements; we do not state a fixed retention period for those provider records here.
Information received directly by Hot Biron is kept only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was received, subject to applicable record-keeping obligations and legal claims. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you may request information about personal data concerning you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, and request deletion or restriction of processing where the law provides for it. Where applicable, you may also request the delivery or transfer of certain data or withdraw consent for future processing based on that consent.
Please send requests relating to information handled by Hot Biron to the postal address below. We may need to verify your identity before responding. For information processed independently by Google, you can also use the privacy controls and request procedures provided by Google.
If you believe personal information is being handled unlawfully, you may contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Swiss data protection authority (FDPIC) ↗Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, its services or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. If message delivery, analytics, ordering or other data-processing features are introduced, this policy will need to reflect those changes.
